It has a working temperature of 160°-190°C. EVA polymer adhesives are solid at room temperature and are activated by heating above their softening point, at which point they are liquid and can therefore be processed. While in their solid state, EVA polymers have high structural integrity. After application of hot melt edgebanding, it can take up to two minutes for the adhesive to cool completely. Upon cooling, the EVA polymers become a solid that neither absorbs water nor is structurally weakened by it.
